Who We Are

Redeemer is, first and foremost, called to be a church full of engaged brothers and sisters in Christ.  We firmly believe that the coming together week after to week of God’s people to pray, sing, listen, and fellowship is utterly powerful and an avenue for the Lord to grow us and change us.  As we come together, we are able to love each other more holistically, pray with more intimacy and power, and encourage each other more specifically.

However, as a church, we are constantly looking for ways to love and serve the people who walk in the doors of Redeemer on Sunday mornings, as well as inclusively love the communities around the church.  Therefore, the ministries below were birthed out of ideas that came from relationships that we have with our neighbors.  These ministries are opportunities for us to serve, building friendships, and share Christ with our neighbors.

Redeemer Kids

Redeemer Kids provides a safe, biblically sound, and age appropriate environment for children to engage with the Scriptures. Our goal in Redeemer Kids is to mirror the teachings that are happening in the main worship area. On Sunday mornings, the kids are split up into two age-groups: for the babies and toddlers, Redeemer Kids uses interactive play and music and the school-aged children engage with the scriptures through Biblical story-telling, interactive play, and crafts. We believe that our children should be active participants in the worship experience and we are happy to start the foundation of biblical understanding in our classrooms. Redeemer Kids meets every Sunday at 10:30am and is led by our wonderful Redeemer Kids Coordinator, Mary Ukuku.

Redeemer Youth

Redeemer's Youth Ministry has evolved and matured over time. Beginning 4-5 years even before Redeemer planted with Bible Studies and sports teams, the Youth Ministry at Redeemer has always sought to build relationships with families in the community, introduce students to Christ, and come alongside to help support the youth as they transition through the difficult teenage years.

For a long time, we had a regular Sunday night youth group at the church where youth could come to eat pizza, play games, and participate in Bible Studies. However, in the past 6 months we have transitioned to same gender Discipleship Groups of two adults and 2-3 youth. These groups have allowed relationships to deepen and created an environment for further discussion about the Gospel.

Youth Sports: Football, Basketball, & Soccer

Over the past 6 years, youth sports teams have consistently provided an opportunity to connect with teenagers and their families, as well as produce an environment that allows boys and girls to play, laugh, be competitive, and create some amazing memories.  We’re thrilled to see this tradition continue year after year and can’t wait to see what the seasons ahead will bring!

Vine City Code Crew

The Vine City Code Crew (VC3) is a faith based, Christ centered initiative with youth in under-resourced communities which aspires to inspire us in STEAM education — Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics. By coding, making and explorative learning, we create as our Creator has given us the ability. And in so doing, we would hope we become a people who love to learn — and learn to love.

This is an awesome opportunity to see youth and adults from our communities come together to learn more technology, as well as build friendships together.  We are currently partnering with Peace Prep and hosting a class with their after-school program, Oaks Atlanta.
